October Music is Still Bringing the Heat

2017 has been a pretty good year for music and October has been keeping the momentum high. Check out what's in the rotation from this month's releases.

Widely known for his magic melody that is the song of the summer "Crew", R&B singer Brent Faiyaz released his debut album and grateful is an understatement. This album is flawlessly made and if you can't get enough, check out his previous project A.M. Paradox.

Kelela. Is. Magic. Another mainstream debut, Kelela has been blessing speakers with her electro-R&b-vibes for quite some time. I was a bit late on listening to her (All The Way Down is my JAM) and as Kelela started dropping singles, I was anxiously anticipating the album. Safe to say, anticipation was not in vain. This album will take you through a ride of emotions and have you high on desires; the title is certainly fitting.

Gucci. Does. No. Wrong. Get his autobio, watch the wedding, and get familiar with Mr. Davis.

The duo with the falsetto taking over the game. DVSN captured my ears last year with his heavenly high note on "Faithful" and I've been hooked ever since. The album felt like a soundtrack to sunset and it's pretty close to perfect from beginning to end.

A true fan of all things H.E.R. The mysterious songbird is coming through with another project, B-Sides and I could not be more excited. To hold us over until her next release, she dropped "2", a song letting you know that two can definitely play that game. In the smoothest voice with her flawless runs, H.E.R. is playing the game with, or without you.

Best for last. Another magic woman, I was able to listen to this album three times in a row and still was not tired of it. About Time is a trip. An amazing vibe. Feather weight vocals floating over production that was made just for her. I'm not sure when or how she popped up on the scene but I am grateful she's here.
