It's A Good Friday For Music

Today is Good Friday and the music industry decided to take it over by storm. Here's some of the hottest new singles and projects that dropped today.

Fans have been waiting for an album from her for years, and due to some previous label differences, it was repeatedly delayed. She's dropped some music with mixtapes (Winter's Diary 3 & 4) and now that she's finally independent, she's back with bangers. Pain & Pleasure is perfectly sensual as it is emotional. It's the perfect track length to ride out to and keep on repeat. We're ready for more Tink!
Track favorite: "Faded"

Jessie Reyez unique soft voice + Daniel Caesar's milk and honey tone = a formula for a perfect balad.

Tinashe is ALWAYS good for a dance bop. Her latest release with two of rap's hottest is a great background to this weather break. And as always, there is a bomb visual for the single. Her album Joyride is scheduled for release on April 13th.

SZA - Broken Clocks

Another visual we have been (im)patiently waiting for. SZA takes us with her to Camp CTRL in her latest visual release. TDE doesn't miss.

The Weeknd came back to us with a new EP that felt like a blast from the past. My Dear Melancholy  certainly lives up to its title in content and definitely gives off the same vibe the Trilogy did during its time. The project is definitely a great refresh to the original sound that all Weeknd fans fell in love with when House of Balloons fell upon us,
Track favorite: "Wasted Times"

Cardi is showing some versatility her most recent single. The airy beat is softer than her usual but her raps are still going just as hard. She even gives us a tease of her singing on the hook. Can't help but wonder who she's talking about on the song but I'll stay bumping it until I figure it out. This is our final tease from Bardi as her debut album Invasion of Privacy drops on April 6th.

Tyler. Never. Misses. A "throwaway" track done in one take, it's been a while since I've heard Tyler go bar for bar AND flow like this and I was pleasantly surprised. "Okra" felt like early-Odd Future-"Goblin" style. Almost serving as a reminder to not forget that he can hold his own with the best of them. If Tyler is ready to drop more music, we're ready to hear it all.
